How is the management/leadership team?

I joined this org recently and from what I can gather, things are trending upward since a recent re-org. There was a history of short sighted decisions to get features out that has been recognized. WLB doesn’t seem bad right now. The org is split across Austin and Seattle which makes everything stupidly difficult. Many teams are split across the two cities as well, so lots of people don’t even see their managers/coworkers face to face. It’s a lot of independence at the cost of speed and communication.
How’s the current working hours per week? Got an offer there as a PM. Thanks
pros: high impact, good learning opportunity, smart engineers cons: bad WLB, operational overhead, low retention, lots of hacks
How terrible is wlb? Do sdes get regularly pulled in to work on weekends? What do you mean by hacks? Thank you for your response.
Well, it is still based on which team in Flex but in our team the on-call week was pretty tough. There was also a secondary oncall. Managers are constantly pushing for new features and engineers have to take shortcuts to meet the aggressive deadlines.
