Following is the scenario 1. Currently, I am at grade 6. 2. Got offer from TI, G29. 3. H1B transfer done 4. Put the paper at Intel, mentioned the offer I have is equivalent to G8 at Intel. I mentioned Current designations and compensation as main reason of leaving. 5. Manger sent the email to the team that I am leaving 6. Now, manager contacted me asking me whether I ll consider counter offer. And asking me to share the TI offer letter. So, should I consider the counter offer if they offer me G8 at Intel? Shall I share my TI offer letter? Typically managers should counter when you notify, the above sequence doesn't leave much for you to stay. How can you stay after announcing to everyone that you are leaving. Also even if that match right now next 2 years expect 0 raise.
Take Intel if it's good and move laterally
Bad advice. If manager valued you would have offered promo first. It seems they were not able to back fill and are settling with op. At an opportune time op will be let go, most probably.
Lol but unless the role at TI is really that good why would you want to be stuck there. Intel has far more opportunities . Thats exactly why I said move laterally . Why show loyalty to a manager who cared only after your notice.
Intel is desperate at the moment. Nothing to lose by sharing the new offer and checking if Intel can beat it. Any other time manager would have held a grudge, but since they put so much effort in giving you counter offer, I think your manager wants you to stay. Use this leverage, get better pay and if you feel like it, leave in a year or so.
Just quote your number and say this is what will make me stay. You are in the driver seat. Infact ask them to guve their number and then you decide. After all this, move to TI.
Its irrelevant what the other offer letter is - tell them what is the number that will make you stay. They dont need to see any other offer letter.
- Negotiate - Evaluate - Move laterally eventually
G6 with 13yoe? Take the better offer and go somewhere that values you. Also, it’s almost never the right call to take the counter offer to stay.
Even the new offer is low for 13yoe.
Consider counter offer, but probably decline. Under no circumstances does your boss need to see your offer letter. Some people play games and lie about having an offer. But your boss is also playing a game. The winning move is not to play.
If you stay at Intel, you will be let go in the next layoff or appraisal. Try your luck at TI. As it is, Intel isnt a great company.

Don't think that's necessary. Stop spreading baseless rumors
