I have to offers on the table, one with Facebook Server Divksion and the other with Intel Silicon Development. I have previously worked with Intel doing silicon development before and enjoyed it, and have a return offer with that group, however I also have an offer to work for Facebook’s server team, which is an area of work I have never done before. what are some things to consider?
Did you ask Facebook if they rely heavily on ODM? You may become a glorified PM if so
Never heard of Facebook Server team. Are they building any server chips?
TC
Facebook server teams work heavily with ODM. It'll also require a lot of travel to Quanta's factory in Asia. FB role is more system level whereas Intel is silicon. I personally would go to FB and then after getting system level experience move onto something else. There's only a handful of companies hiring for silicon these days.
TC of both
Both internships
Fb
Run from Intel
Sounds like FB will open more doors for you later on
