Backstory: I am working at Intel at Grade 5 level in Bay Area earning $118K per year. My RSU at Intel is $20K. Currently: Got an offer from Qualcomm at Austin Qualcomm: Salary -> $110K (could not move this) Sign-on -> $40K (moved this from $25k) RSU -> $100K (moved this from $60k) to vest in 3 years Bonus -> 0 - 12% Location: Austin, TX Intel: Salary -> $118K Sign-on -> I currently work there RSU -> $20K to vest in 4 years Bonus -> 0 - 6% Location: Bay Area Concerns about Qualcomm, it could be intense work but I’m capable, I am in the middle of the EB2 green card process ( I am from ROW) and I know that the GC will come soon. Can port using AC-21. The roles are the same Intel concerns: Work is also intense (lol) Pay is not looking good My group’s project team is struggling to complete projects on time. I have Marvell and AMD interviews coming up Your opinion will be appreciated **Had to edit this post to be a bit more anonymous May 10, 2022 Got Nvidia and AMD offers afterwards Nvidia’s offer blew the others away #Intel #qualcomm #nvidia #amd #marvell #apple #hardware #semiconductor #interview #offer
What's your yoe ? 118k in bay area seems very low.

If your offer for Senior Engineer or Engineer?
I agree with koins. Get senior engineer.
Ask for senior engineer, if not wait for few months and connect with recruiter again and ask for senior next time. They might offer it - probably with another set of interviews though. In the meanwhile get your green card sorted out as well. No fun being on visa.
Wait for AMD interview and offer. You may like that one more
Naa. I doubt AMD can beat Qualcomm offer.. let Op take the offer.. bird in hand is better
@countrygal. Just checked the levels.fyi. I am not sure if there is much that AMD can do to beat it
Push for senior title, take the offer
Thanks. I took your advice and got it.
You're being low balled. I was offered g5 pde for 170k at Intel Santa Clara . New college grad.
What?! $170 k. Is that TC or base?
The recent AMD offers I have seen are lucrative , might worth taking the chance. And you have a competing offer . That is a big plus
Base pay is less.
Qualcomm is downsizing its presence in US and moving jobs to India. Also career growth is very slow .lots of politics and bureaucracy too. Would suggest better join any other company. https://www.google.com/amp/s/wap.business-standard.com/article-amp/technology/qualcomm-to-open-its-2nd-largest-office-outside-us-in-hyderabad-by-october-122032201360_1.html
Thanks, but my team is also downsizing in America and hiring more in Asia
We are consolidating the operations to one big building - that's it, no big bang hiring ... The link is misleading
