Intel's a walking dead company
Is it just intel or is it like this elsewhere? The outstanding performers get 1.5% more bonus than standard performers. I never work hard and leave the office at 4. And i am only 2yoe but i feel like im a old , near retirement dude. Half of the parking lot is empty at 4.30pm. Hows your company like?
Whatβs the problem, OP? Your company still manages to beat estimates.
Are you paid well? A lot of people in my company work 10 hours at least and sometimes 18 hours towards the deadline. Not sure whether this is better or not.

Qualcomm is the same, maybe even worse due to employee morale and bad stick performance
Look at the positive though. If you work hard even to a decent extent without killing your WLB, then you can raise amazingly. And 90% + still use Intel chips, Intel standards, etc!
Same in MSFT.
Highly org specific
No way! I work 60 hours a week during my on call week at MSFT. Sometimes I get called at 2am and had to spend a few hours mitigate incident.
