Recruiter reached out to me out of nowhere saying some one referred me (without my knowledge), gave stellar recommendations, and i should speak to a hiring manager to see if there’s good fit. I spoke to a hiring manager who seems to be more jr, less experienced, and doesn’t know as much. Recruiter said the hiring manager gave positive feedbacks and i should schedule a time to talk with her, and then by the way check out our culture slide deck. It’s the standard netflix cool-aid.
When i spoke to the recruiter, i get questions like... what about the slide deck stood out, am i talking to other companies (i gave her a list). Just wishy-washy stuff.
A few days later, i get a note saying... sorry, not a good fit, but add me on linkedin for future positions.
What was that about?
