Moving soon to Columbia city/Mt baker area in Seattle and have two internet options : Comcast CenturyLink (they say fiber, but they say their modem is using rj11) Which one do you recommend?

Fuck Comcast

Comcast. They're far better all but very specific markets for the price vs Comcast.

Wondering if comcast has data cap in Seattle area.

They do. It's 1TB a month. I pay extra for high bandwidth uses.

Recently got clink and it's been way better so far. Got 100Mb and speed test consistently shows 100 or more. If I find I need Gb I can always upgrade too. 100 is plenty for me though.

What area of Seattle?

Shoreline, so might not be the case in Seattle proper.

I've worked for both companies. Both providers offer fiber service. It comes down to your budget and how important service is to you. CenturyLink also provides cloud management, DDoS, DRaaS, colo, and lots if other stuff cheaper than other companies. Comcast just has Internet pipe. Feel free to message me. Happy to talk about it.

You realize he's talking about home usage right? :) Colo, DDoS and disaster recovery might be great for a business, but for his home.... ;)
