Hello Tesla folks! Just out of curiosity, for Spring internship roles.... 1)What is the general interview timeline? (Like when did you got to know that you have a confirmed interview Or when does the team reach out....Oct/Nov/Dec) 2) How many interviews do we have to go through both technical and non-technical? 3) Did you had any specific strategies or plans in securing interview? 4) What kind of personality attributes are they looking for especially in interns? I am currently interested to work with electronics system and aero/thermal teams and would like to know your thoughts about the hiring process.
Depends on team, usually between 1-4 phone interviews
Usually looking for generally smart people, we see how you do when youre thrown in the fire
Do they ask brainstorming questions as well?
Anywhere from 1-3 interviews. Probably a week max between decisions
I see thanks for the info. I have applied online and reached out to many recruiters and hopefully waiting to get an interview!
@EV-Intern to clarify, a week max after getting initial interview. Hearing a response (if any) after initially submitting can be a while
I passed my resume to a famous tesla recruiter on Linkedin and she organized a phone interview with a hiring manager within a week in October of last year. Phone interview was very casual and the guy seemed disinterested, asked me a couple of questions about my CV thats it. I was offered the position the next day of phone interview. I dont think they fly u out for internships. (maybe atleast my department materials/quality)
Thats really great! Was that guy an engineer or another recruiter?
Engineer. I never joined though. Had some work visa issues
