I have a phone interview at Cruise coming up for a PM position. Can anyone share their experience? What shall I expect?
Regular LC type of problems. Nothing too hard.
Next up for me is another tech interview over the phone. Not sure if it's going to be technical only or PM related too. Any thoughts on this?
So what was it?
My phone screen wasn't a great experience. Hiring manager was ex Amazon and the questions I got were straight from their playbook, mostly about using customer data to make decisions. No questions about hypothetical scenarios relevant to the product I was interviewing for, no questions about my motivations for applying, no questions digging into the Cruise values. Didn't enjoy the experience or want to continue after.
I thought the first phone screen is done by an hr person. Yours was directly with a hiring manager?
