Interview Prep - Product Design Eng. - iPhone@Apple

My friend is gonna take the 1st round technical phone interview. So questions come in... How should she prepare? What materials can she use? What kind of questions can be expected? According to her chat with the tech recruiter, my friend's experience with her Phd project is quite a good fit to this position. Does this mean that the interviewer will only focus on her relevant experience back school? She's a new grad Phd student... Thanks to all the blinders in advance~~ ;)
