Recently had phone screen with Box. Overall experience was not as expected. I had applied for Front end role. Interviewer called late and he was driving. I could hear all the noise and secondly the call got cut twice. He wanted to do a code review of the project his colleague had developed (Java). So he copy pasted the whole code base almost( 5-6 class files) and asked me to start writing test case.(JUnit) It took a lot of time for me to understand that he wants to improvise the code and then write test case. As this was the first time someone asked me to do this in interview. As the code was part of a big wrapper it was hard for me to relate what the actual application would do. Well, There was no algorithm or coding question as in other interviews. I was expecting a reject for sure. Recruiter gave a standard reject email but again wrote wrong names of interviewers “ Thank you for interviewing with X and Y ..” I wanted tell them it was Z who took my interview. But I decided to move on. People interviewing with Box, Good luck
Yes glassdoor it.
I had a phone screening sometime back with and it was a breeze. I was happy with overall interview process including the onsite. Though I interviewed for a backend engg role.
Send an email to their HR explaining everything that you'd described here. Otherwise you're enabling him to keep interviewing from the 101. Moreover he gave you, a FE dev a QA role phone screen. Last, if this ever happens to you in an onsite, pee on the interviewer to show dominance.
Right, I am going to do so over the weekend. I have some last round interviews going on with some amazing companies.Do not want to get distracted.

Seems like a personal endurance and tolerance to weird situations test rather than a tech interview. Put this on Glassdoor
