I was wondering what the interview process is like at Epic Systems? Mostly Leetcode? Systems design? TC 190k YOE 10
Why Epic? Try Facebook or Google
Why not Epic? It doesn't hurt to have multiple offers for leverage, but also last I checked Facebook is not in Madison Wisconsin (at least I thought), although Google is. There is also plenty of info on blind about interviewing at those places.
Gotcha. Good luck!
I interviewed last year. First phase is an online test with ProctorU. It has 4 Leetcode style questions, a multiple choice portion, and a rapid fire logic/arithmetic portion. It takes about 2-3 hours to complete. I did not pass, but after that, you do an on-site that is mostly a behavioral and a formality as far as I understand. Edit: Just remembered after reading another response that there is also a behavioral phone screen before the online test.
When you say it’s a formality, why do you say that? And do you know how much they usually offer new grads for software engineering?
I heard from people who work there that the on-site is fairly non-technical. It seems the main goal there is to ensure the candidate is a good culture/team fit. New grad offer is around 90k. This is from 2 years back.
Avoid Epic. They run you to the ground. Mutual acquaintances with the founder... she’s crazy. You can do better!
Are there other companies in the area that can match the pay?
For new grad: The proctored on-line exam, and phone screen which I think was only behavioral. Onsite: Presenting a project, solving a question that can be system/OO, algo design however you choose (they purposely kept open ended), and behavioral.
How should I best prep for the online assessment people keep making it sound like SAT math section with leetcode is that reasonable? What leetcode categories should I focus on?
Which epic?
