Had a interview earlier this week for a Sr. PM role. It got scheduled via a recruiter through LinkedIn so the only person I have actually interviewed with is the hiring manager. I had to laugh because they stopped it right at the 30 minute mark and made a comment that they needed to review notes with others on their team before making a decision. I haven’t interviewed with anyone else on their team so I don’t know what notes they will be comparing with. I find out next week but my guess is I don’t advance.
What experiences have you had where you knew during the interview that you weren’t going to be moving forward?

Or how about when you catch them in lies? Some of these managers assume you don’t know how to talk to recruiters or others in the company, because they are shameless, almost as bad as the recruiters.
But they are doing you a favor with that behavior. They are letting you know ahead of time they are terrible managers.
2) Nodding pointlessly
3) Saying yes when you did not ask them a yes/no question
4) On-mute most of the time.
5) Fake smiles 🤣
In short, too distracted for the interview and I knew it was over before it even begin.
