so i am confident that i will receive a promotion this review cycle but i dont really like my team culture and company culture. i am getting a few interview requests by hiring managers. I wanted to know if having a promotion before i start interviewing will let me have any kind of leverage either in getting more interviews or at a higher level or in negotiating a higher TC? TC: 145k/4 YOE
Waiting for a promotion usually does not have a set timeline. Unless your manager can put that in writing.

I've done mistake of changing jobs just before promotions, there are pros and cons but I tilt towards suggesting to wait. Eg: I moved because ideal opportunity/job role, company etc. But I regret looking back as TC has previous pay as a factor. So I guess I am 20k behind in total TC because of those decisions. But, I wouldn't be where I am if those decisions weren't made at that time. But overall hindsight is 20/20
But why is your TC 20k behind? How does the company your joined know what your previous tc was?
