Interviewing feels amazing

Anyone else feel on top of the world when interviewing? It feels amazing to finally take action and get positive signals from so many opportunities. Feels good to own my destiny rather than my manager.

Going through interviews again is my main reason against changing job

Don't you need to interview to change teams too?

I love programming interview but hate the latter part of negotiation, waits and dealing with lawyers for visa transfer.

What level are you at G? Probably your G label is ensuring your success at those interviews

If it was higher I wouldn't be leaving 😘

Yeah, I enjoy it. I especially like hearing problems i haven’t solved before, even though it will impact me negatively on the interview result. Even if I fail an interview , I learn what I don’t know and need to learn for next year. It’s a skill you have to maintain.

I specialize in ML and system design interviews. I am disappointed 90% of the time when interviewing, only 1% of the time I am pleasantly surprised. It's not fun and not easy. I used to prepare a lot and it's a time sink.

Idk how one specializes in interviews.. To be clear, I don't necessarily enjoy the act of studying and interviewing for the sake of it but I do feel an enormous weight has been lifted now that I'm seeing options for my future. Like I was trapped but now I'm free.

I used to interview indiscriminately. Later I just comment on my preference selection I want only want to do ML system design or ML general questions. Time is scarce I want to do what I enjoy...

I enjoy interviewing once coding begins. Behavioral is draining.

So true! It's more about mindset. If you go with mindset of solving an unknown problem and take away some learning, you'll enjoy. However, many fall into the trap of thinking interviews as an exam that they have to score well. It's all about one's mindset.
