Does Amazon have any coordination policy between interviewing at different teams? For example Facebook only has one generalist interview. MSFT is supposed to coordinate, can interview with many teams, but extend on offer. What's Amazon policy?
Generally you either interview with one team, or you do a split loop with 2 teams and choose one if you get an offer. Managers also are allowed to accept candidates who got offers from other teams if they want. This scenario is less common. It might happen if a team loses headcount after making an offer or something. Once you are in, it’s really easy to transfer if the team who hired you isn’t a good fit. Most managers don’t require as rigorous of a loop for internal transfers.
Is it ok not to do split loop? I rather do first team, wait for result, if no offer, do second team. That way I have more 'lives' before it's game over
If you don’t get an offer and don’t get recycled you’ll have to wait longer to interview with the second team.
I was planning to schedule onsite a month out. Then as I clear more phone screens from now till then, backfill the interview schedule until I get 1 Amazon onsite per week.
Lol not gonna happen because of tagging guidelines. You'll get split looped or 1 OS. If you're recycled another team may want to interview you after reviewing feedback. If rejected you can wait 2 years.
Amazon cool down for rejected onsite is 2yrs?!
You really have to fuck up to be rejected. Most people are recycled which is like catch and release
You can have a split loop with two teams. Any additional teams could just accept the outcome of the loop or attend the debrief and decide from there. Oh that is to say multiple teams can offer you a place and you can pick
