What are some good places to "interview" at? Obviously Snap for LA and high finance for NYC. Any companies that fly you out internationally from the west coast? I want to visit TX too. Please no Seattle / Silicon Valley garbage.

Why do you feel that way about SV? Just curious

Don’t you value your free time more than that? I know I do
You only spend 1 hr setting it up, 1 hr on phone screen, 4 hrs on on-site. In exchange for ~$1k worth of hotels, flights and misc expenses. That's more than I make at my day job. You don't think it's worth it?
You spend the entire day in the onsite, and then take the night flight home - what exactly is the point of the exercise then? It’s not like you are being flown by anything other than economy flights or being booked in 5* hotels - all for 2 free meals and maybe 4 hours in a new city?
If you tell them you are willing to relocate, then yeah for instance Dell in Round Rock, Texas since you said you wanted to visit Texas.
Yeah this sounds like way to much work and hassle for a short trip to some place. Company’s know this is not a pleasure trip and will put you in some hotel close to the office. Most of the time, this is not the most tourist friendly parts of town.
I would not come to Round Rock, TX for tourism. Hell, no...
Why not? It's 20 miles away from Austin.
Cheap
You will lose your PTO for onsite interviews. Your one day PTO is probably worth more than what you gain from free travel.
Why lose PTO? I just say I "WFH" 😂🤣😂
Agoda for Thailand trip
Zappos in vegas 😎
If you are interviewing just for free travel - OP you are an a$$.
Why? Last time I spent $100+ on dinner, all on Fb's dime 😂 Why should bezos and zucc be the only ones profiting off our hard work
Yea why? It’s a free market!!! Capitalism knows no morals!
