How can I buy US Stocks from India? Looking for help in setting up of brokerage accounts. I do not have SSN. Via my employer (Microsoft), I have accounts set up in Morgan Stanley and Fidelity but they can’t be used to trade stocks other than RSU and ESPO
There is no citizenship requirement for owning stocks of US companies. Just open an account with your preferred brokerage.
If you just want S&P 500, theres a Motilal Oswal ETF in India for thet.
Even for Nasdaq. Just a word of caution, since these are foreign equity funds, they're taxed in the same brackets as debt mutual funds in India. Check the tax brackets before investing
You can use Vested App.
There we go! TSLA FOMO is hitting India. Time to lock some gainz
You can also invest in PPFAS. They have a Nasdaq component of 30% or so
If you see the last 1 year growth of Amazon, Apple and Microsoft stocks, it is more than 50% Does it make an attractive equity investment from India for the long term? I am assuming they are set to grow by 20-50% in next 3-5 years at least again? How do you decide from India which stocks to invest? Does Interactive Brokers or Vested give you recommendations based on research?
