Gonna be graduating in a month and moving to Chicago to work for a trading firm. TC will be 235k, but base will be 140k and rest will be guaranteed bonuses. Is it unreasonable to pay 3.9k on rent? I really like this apartment and I’m willing to splurge for it.

Few will have their best of years thereafter, and it’ll be fantastic, but for very few.
Majority just fade away. I mean, age discrimination does start at 40+ lol
Let this $8k almost penthouse be a motivator for you to increase your TC. Don’t get it until your next big TC bump.
I lived there some of my school time not so many years ago and my rent was 300$ for a room right next to a blue line
