Is Apple SRE treated the same as regular software engineer?
Recuiter said system shows the same as Software Engineer but just want to confirm. Does SRE have the same upside potential in A in terms of compensation?

Software development engineer and site reliability engineer. SDEs write the actual apps with all the business logic. SREs make sure there's something for SDEs to deploy to and that the servers don't burn down.

Are these terms used in SWE? I’ve never heard of them.
Regarding SREs in the industry they come very close to SDE TC, but I have never seen them completely match or exceed.
