How good is software engineeing at Apple when it comes to infrastructure, talent and software engineering overall?
A company that has a ton of code duplication, inconsistent coding review practices, horrendous internal tools, and poor software quality is not a Tier 1 company. Apple is unfortunately one of those companies
All big companies are like that for sure. I know Facebook still has Java JSF technology for internal tools. Can’t blame just for it.
WTF with the no votes here? Their systems people are awesome (OS/Compilers, etc.). Their apps people are reasonable as well. Backend and large distributed systems, obviously not.
I've worked with a bunch of ex-Apple before and they've been consistently terrible engineers
Apple creates many widely used top-notch softwares such as MacOS, iOS etc. What Facebook has provided?
