Tier 1 for resume worthy, comp, wlb, career opportunities, prestige, benefits, engineering etc.
Tire 1 for everything except for WLB and benefits. Top for 3 for getting to do non-bs work that actually matters.b Apple Top 1 for building best in class HW/SW integration at enormous scale. Google top 1 for cutting edge DL/AI and algos. Not sure what Facebook is even good for these days.
Top for some types of security and still some design work too, I think. Oh, and teaching people how to ship. Top 3 for chip design. Facebook is probably top in comp for mercenaries. Good riddance.
Working on large scale AI/ML problems. Couldn’t ask for more
Definitely not tier 1 for software
Good for the resume. Solid for prestige (worse than the the other Big N/unicorns). Crap everything else.
Good for compensation from what I hear
Only if you have strong performance reviews and stay on for many years. For entry-level, you basically get paid peanuts relative to other companies (even Microsoft offers more TC). The one upside is hourly pay, which comes in clutch around WWDC and Fall release.
