Tesla jumps after earning. Is Tesla next big thing?
Stock is up 25% after surprise upside in financial results.
Maybe not. They’re not in the same industry imho. But if comparing within the car industry, man... it’s the best.
No they are not. Their demand is dying slowly, and they will never be able to cater to places that require long distances. Supercharger network is getting overwhelmed also, and will continue to get worse unless they expand that as well

I'm still investing my money in VTI...
90% of my portfolio is VTI
VTI is the missionary position of investing.
Absolutely not.
It's a cool science project. And an important one at that. It created a demand for electric cars that the world didn't know it wanted. Now the big industry players with way deeper pockets and more patient investors are catching up at an accelerated rate. I feel Tesla will suffocate in the long run and it will only be known for its contribution in shifting the perspective
Similar to what movie pass did to box office ?
This comment is a joke. All auto manufacturers are years behind Tesla and they have no idea where to start. You can have all the money in the world but blow it if your don't have the right mindset and vision.
Tesla will be that company which sacrificed itself for a paradigm shift. Electric cars will live long.
this^
All the other FAANG companies are big because they do a little bit of everything. Tesla is only in one industry and it's an industry with slim margins.
100%. It's my biggest holding by far.
I just sold 50% of mine :D Yay profit on the books. (Its going back into AMZ)
Are you new to the valley ?
Must be confused with semi valley, ca
They pay 80k
Lol, yeah right. No info for which role and which department within Tesla. I'm sick of people everywhere skewing reality with Tesla by focusing on some vague data point without providing context. And 52 people have liked it and it's only increasing. Sad state of things 🙄. Emerge outside of your pure tech bubble. Tesla is a car company which uses technology a lot. But doesn't mean every role at Tesla is only a developer or manager or PMs. Can you provide more info on what role gets that pay to complete the picture? Edit: Also because it's a car company, revenues are the classic mode of selling cars unlike ads in pure tech. But with tech updates and GAAP we can consider those updates as revenue recognition. And we don't twist the internet, a habit Facebook has pioneered all over the world, which has no iota of significance at all in human evolution compared to what Tesla is doing
I strongly believe in Tesla..and I feel the fact that they pay 80k for straight out of college kids that know shit is actually a predictor of success
