Tech is definitely taking over brick and mortar. But the race to do this is littered with failed startups that burnt investors cash. Among Ubers competitors, Waymo is on the verge of unveiling driverless taxi service. Even if it doesn't launch the service in the next four years, it's possibility will cast a huge shadow over Ubers valuation. So the question.... Is Uber IPO poised to fail?
How's the koolaid over there? It's just an opinion survey, chill out.
I agree with your guess, gdfa51, that people might be voting out of spite. It's challenging to avoid that. Unless we have 1000+ votes, this poll might be meaning less. It's only value will be in the thought provoking comments.
Yea, sure, whatever. I’m sure we aren’t just guessing... Which one is Uber again?
After working at Google for many years, I will be surprised if Waymo gets anywhere. They seem to want to just study the problem, over and over and over again.
Lol. My kind of people.
Microsoft never limited itself to Windows OS, Google didn’t limit itself to search, Apple didn’t limit itself to Macs. These are all constantly evolving companies. Uber’s got the same DNA of a company that is evolving with the market. I’m sure the team knows how to position the company to public investors.
I'm sure they can present and they have great "ideas", but the question is can they steal market shares from those new markets.
