Really fed up with Uber. Is the entire company a dick? My onsite interview was shit. One of your interviewers was a jack ass (long story), didn't end up getting the job offer, so yeah big middle finger to you. Don't worry I have offers from your competitors, I don't want you too... Then when claiming reimbursement, it has been TWO FUCKING months and you guys still haven't paid me. Your stupid Pana (their travel dept) keeps giving me the 5-10 business days bullshit. Give me my money asshole!!! Should send Uber to collections.... Never dealt with such a terrible company. Even Amazon reimbursed me quickly... AMZN of all people!!!
I got reimbursed fairly quickly from Uber. 🍿
My worst ever phone interview experience was with Uber as well. The interviewer was super arrogant and impatient with a horrible accent. When I got stuck on the question, he was rude to the point of telling me that this was pretty easy to figure out. I got offers from other places anyways... Actually I am glad that they did not move forward, felt like dodging a bullet really.
What type of questions did they ask in phone interview ? I know probably it could be leetcode medium to hard level but curious to know the concepts actually. Like trees or graphs or sorting ?
Lol a horrible accent is also listed as a con. Good thing you went somewhere more inclusive 😊
Glassdoor is full of these stories that uber not paying candidates .. not cool at all
Wow wtf... Not enough that they screw their drivers, they wanna screw their candidates too
Excuse me but who gives a shit about glassdoor ?
Sour grapes?
My recruiter was an ass too. Got an underwhelming offer from them and rejected it right away.
Every company has a personality type that most employees generally fit into. They hire more people like themselves and so they work together in the direction, culture and pace of the same flavor. It’s important to understand if you fit in the personality type, and uber happens to have chosen a certain kind of people and it has helped them in dealing with taxi drivers and twist laws to their favor. It wasn’t an easy task to disrupt that industry and if you’re too soft, you just are and maybe you can thrive at Microsoft or Google or something where your personality is just a better fit.
You sound entitled, no wonder you bombed
If he managed to sell interview questions, he could qualify for job at FB ( OP already datastreamed private information about reimbursement dept person)
For my Uber PS, interviewer was 15 minutes late. It took recruiter 3 weeks to even reply back. They did not want to move forward or filled their role (wasn’t clear). I’ve been rejected before, Uber is the first one where I felt like the process was just unprofessional. I try not to be bitter, but it felt like a waste of everyone’s time if they weren’t going to pursue it in earnest from the start.
That’s rich coming from amazon
How so? I’m not the spokesperson for Amazon. Just an ordinary SDM. I always get back to candidates within 24 hours though.
Thanks for the info but you are writing like if you were telling all that to the recruiter

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
You sound like a dick tbh
I was trying to fit into their culture....
