Is yahoo a decent company to go to as product designer? I don’t know much about the day to day work and I would be leaving a pretty dope company to go there. Just looking for any advice and feedback on the company. #design #ui/ux #productdesigner
Nooooooo. Yahoo is so past its prime. Go to a FAANG and learn more quickly
Yahoo is still hiring?
No, don’t come
What’s bad about it now? #formeryahoo
Is using an iPhone 4 a good idea?
Given that it has no iOS 15 support, I'd say, yes, absolutely.
Is it a good place to work? That entirety depends the team and location you are planning to join. The team I am on, I works definitely recommend to join as they are wonderful people and work is interesting with awesome WLB. But you do have to keep a few things in mind. Verizon is selling off Yahoo so at this point no one knows what future compensation will look like especially with regards to any RSU you maybe getting. Apollo the new owners have said that they will make sure current employees are made whole for their grants, but nothing is in writing. So you really should discuss that with your recruiter and see if thats a risk worth taking. Secondly, as you didn't mention which location you are applying for. I will just say this, the growth opportunities in Bay area are very less, majority of hiring and promotions are being done outside the bay area. I hope that helps you in taking the decision.
Where are they hiring now?
No
