Is Zillow engineer a good place now on H1B. Heard of recent layoffs

I am on H1B. Recently got an offer from Zillow as a senior engineer. It's a much higher pay and benefits from my current job. So confused if I should take it up . Mother of 2 and stable job, so Don't want to get into the firing line Unnecessarily as it's hard to get a job immediately on H1B since my green card processing is going on . So the basic question is How stable is the software job in zillow

Not recommended at the moment. More stable with Amex imo.

Stay away.

If you had a good paying job at a decent company I'd tell you to pass, but coming from amex it probably makes sense to take the offer. Zillow has had a ton of attrition and problems hiring new people recently so you're going to be pretty safe once you join.

You should be fine. Lot of folks have already left (including myself) There is a massive shortage of engineers. I don't anticipate layoffs, however, be prepared for bunch of reorgs to better align with business priorities which was sort of unknown when I was there few weeks ago.

Do you mind sharing your offer?

Fellow H1B Zillow guy here.. you will be fine.. Though we have tons of other issues, Zillow does make sure to care for employees on visa.. I can't say from WLB end , but from visa end, you should be fine.. Also, if you can share the offer details and current TC.. can give you better advice if it's worth it..

I’d say just stay where you are if there’s green card issue. The company is still trying to find a new direction. Might fail again lol

Zillow not the most atune to priorities right now.. they might decide to change them again and lay off more.
