Do you guys think h1b premium processing of h1b transfer suspended on purpose to make the life of h1b holders miserable ? I personally think so, as it has been suspended for a really long time. There’s attack from every end, especially on Indians: 1. No hope for GC 2. H4 ead is going away 3. H1b transfer/extension process is miserable Seems like trump administration is trying to push Indians to “self-deport” themselves. 🤣 It’s not much of an issue for immigrants from other nations as they have either got their GC or will get that soon and get out of this mess.
Yes defenitely intentional..
Thanks for confirming my conspiracy theory. I am Sherlock indeed.🕵️♀️
Its normal. No rule said h4 ead is going away
I don't think so. If that had been their intent, then they would have kept it permanently suspended, rather than doing this on-and-off thing. I think what's happening is that the current administration is scrutinizing H-1B petitions much more, so they have less resources available for premium processing
This^
No policy change is attacking Indians particularly, it affects everyone equally. It is certainly odd. The administration has positioned itself as anti illegal immigration, but pro legal immigration. However, the administration’s supporters aren’t the most discerning crowd, so making anti immigration policies is winning points with that crowd.
I don't think it's an attack on "Indians", though it may feel like that. I think it's an attack on the consulting companies that import cheap tech workers and displace Americans via outsourcing. Look at the approval rates. For FANG/Apple/MSFT the approval rate is very high but the Infosys/TCS/wipro/etc companies saw a huge increase in denials. I think they are the target and other Indians are "collateral damage".
Did you just wake up Sherlock?
