I'm fed up of this organization and Expedia, to say the least. No career progression, bad quality of work, poor choice of people and petty politics. Hotwire has it all and worse. The technical management is made up of people with experience in companies like Yahoo, Walmart, Macy's, Ripple, Hotwire, Kodak and such grade of companies. I have been attempting to switch since a couple of years now but no success. Not even internally. Cleared Expedia technical interviews for two different positions, twice but things didn't go anywhere after manager feedback and I have no clue what happened. I'm thinking of doing anything but waste my time here at Hotwire. Is there anything better for me to do? Should I stay around for the salary?
The grass isn’t always greener
lol any place is better than hotwire stop being lazy and leetcode
I got an online test for Uber recently. Couldn't get either of the two questions completely correct. Seemed doable but maybe after practice. Gonna work.
BTW, is it just the interview part that requires leetcode or do you need to be as good daily with algos for working at Uber?
One of my worst ex-managers ever was recently hired at hotwire in a senior management position
You could quit and travel. Leetcode later.
Would stick it out until you find a new role. Took me 8 months, but have quit without a new job lined up in the past and it was a bad decision. Worked out ultimately, but could’ve gone poorly.
