Mostly in the title. Is it a good time to join? Are the problems getting more or less interesting? Is the platform at risk post-Trump? I know Twitter has been profitable, but how do prospects look going forward? Is the stock at risk of tanking?

Any insights from current employees would be helpful.

Twitters ready to pop honestly. We've been profitable consistently and we haven't even made a push to expand internationally. Weve been able to pull in great revenue WITHOUT performance or targeted ads. Think about that. Look how much snap and fb are valued at - and they are heavily leveraged on performance ads not brand ads. When we finally ship those ad features our revenue is going to skyrocket. Leadership is also in the right mindset of investment.

But we ship hella slow and it's going to take a while.

Thanks for the insight. I’ve heard it both ways that Twitter is ready to collapse or skyrocket, depending on who you ask. Personally I don’t think that a pillar of tech like Twitter is going to cave any time soon. I’m interviewing on the revenue side as well, so these are problems I’d be aiming to help solve as well.

Product moves very slowly at Twitter. Things are getting better incrementally...but slowly. You can get a lot out of joining probably IF you navigate to good team and put in discipline.

As for prospects of the company financially it’s hard to say. I’m pessimistic. There are a lot of uphill battles and I personally think the stock is overvalued (but I’ve thought this a lot and it’s gone up lol)

Yeah I’ve heard that changes are pretty incremental at Twitter. A mindset of “We’re finally profitable, don’t rock the boat too much”. I’ve been working at startups my last few roles so honestly not too upset about a slower pace haha. I’m interviewing on the revenue side of the business, which I think could be an interesting place to work to try to address these problems.

  • If Trump somehow overturns popular vote (12-13% chance per Predictit), Twitter will be Trump's bit*h.
