Is it a wise decision to join paypal now?
I got offer from paypal as se3. The offer is not great not bad but looks like that the best they could offer for se3. Team is under merchants org. How is the work-life going to be like? How stable is the company currently? Let me know your thoughts.

At 152k its a good offer for SE3. I personally know SE3 which are paid far less. Work balance is a hit or miss, some teams work more than others and some have more fires to put. In general I think Merchant is a little bit heavier on work just from 6 month experience myself and also from friends in that org. How stable? Very stable. There are some reorgs internally sometimes but nothing out of the norm.
Solid base but weak stocks, negotiate more on stock

You will get yearly refreshers. There are other benefits like ESPP etc but yes you cannot compare RSUs from other companies.
PayPal great. If you got stock even better. it almost tripled since I joined
