I have been having multiple online assessments lately, I think they are the worst tool ever existed for hiring. I have had multiple encounters now with them being so buggy. the worst one was Glider but I had a buggy Amazon online assessment as well. first of all, sometimes, the question might be hard to understand. writing a question with a clear directions is hard, but having no one to ask while being judged on the question is just a b.s. then, you encounter a failing compiler for no reason, or compiles the wrong results, when I test the code in an IDE, or another platform it works, but not on this assessment I hate it now after seeing all the bugs they have They made my experience so bad I had a phone interview with facebook, loved the way it is handled, you have a real person to ask and communicate with while solving the question, you feel; you are worthy. the finniest one is SalesForce, I have passed four interviews, two of them were coding and two design. then they sent me a buggy online assessment😷😂 guys, you have already seen me code live, and passed your questions, why to send an assessment as well😂😂😂 just in case, someone might ask, all my interviews were remote, coding live in coderPad just sharing frustration Not to forget TC 120k 🙃
Your spelling is appalling. I can't image reading your code or comments.
Yeah, I depend on auto correction a lot, I speak and write in four languages, Some languages, the spelling make sense, so I can write perfectly Other languages, I depend on auto correction when writing, Blind disables auto correction when creating a post, so I don’t bother to check it. When I write code or comments, I have auto correction and spelling check, so don’t worry 😂
😂😂😂
I find most code pairing platforms to be alright except for Codility and whatever Microsoft used to use.
It is just you
I did the Amazon online assessment recently and the editor was so flaky I actually tried to rage quit. My browser prompted me "are you sure you want to quit", so I submitted my work-in-progress instead. Somehow passed, got invited to an onsite and received an offer, which I accepted.
That’s great, hasn’t happened to me yet 😂😂😂
@Infinite Campus- Amazon online assessment set 90 minutes. Is 90 minutes enough to take the test? Are questions from Leetcode?
@ gXrshu - i am practicing questions from the link below. Do you think it is enough? https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/344650/Amazon-Online-Assessment-Questions
Lol I had the Amazon one too, it sucks, might have the Microsoft one as well
It’s just so frustrating, To have all you need to pass The question is simple, but the platform is buggy
I heard they do it on purpose as part of Amazons “grit” cultural screening. If you can get your code to work with a shitty editor then you have what it takes to work there
