Is it now easier to join Facebook?

Have the scandals and plummeting stock price made it easier to get an offer from Facebook?

We're definitely not going to lower the bar to make the product worse.

Google did it. You will do it too. Haven’t you navigated via Google Maps for iOS? Looks like a college project now.

What makes you think G lowered their bar?

If anything it’s harder

They have to offer much more number of shares to keep the same TC level, you wish it would be easier?

I would imagine with lower quotas it’d just be harder. I don’t think they’ve lost THAT much prestige in the eyes of potential applicants. They still pay top dollar.

Actually best time to join since RSUs are based on the current price, which is temporarily depressed.

And will sink further

Much harder. Bigger pool of applicants, more streamline and training for interviewers to remove bias and emotions.

So what y’all are trying to say is that the same amount and caliber of top talent wants to join Facebook despite everything it’s been through lately? This sounds unlikely to me why would I join a company with a falling stock price and impending regulation if I can go anywhere?

Because the product itself and the value it brings hasn’t dropped. Their numbers are strong

So you think talents are going to Microsoft? Ok buddy

Microsoft Cacadoodoo OP Jan 9, 2019

There’s no way there’s the same competition to join as there once was. Sorry FBers, your company is in decline.
