Is it safe to do H1B transfers these days?

I am planning on switching companies next year. How risky is to transfer H1B and what are the chances of an RFE? I have a Master’s degree in CS and I am an SDE with 4 years of experience. I also have my i140 approved.

As long as you keep your current job, no risk

If I get an h1b transfer denial, how does it affect the h1b extensions at current company if I decide to go back.
