Chicago is great. Best summer city around. Friendly people, great food/music/culture, terrible weather.
Probably the best city right now. Affordable, best food ever, artists, incredibly diverse in culture and people. Has a lot going for it save for the violence, budget problems and cold winters.
Chicago is the most segregated of all big cities. If you want true diversity, try New York.
