I’ve read a lot about the crazy cost of living in the Bay Area and folks are leaving for Denver, Austin, Nashville.... would this be a bad time for someone to relocate to the Bay Area if there’s an exodus? Thoughts?
No, not even a little but wish it were true so there would be less traffic on on the 101
No exodus. Still plenty of net incoming traffic.
Sorry, we're full. But seriously, life is mostly amazing here. Frustratingly expensive rent prices, and dinner can be pricey. But income more than covers it.
Yes

What will happen when everyone brings their Bay area TC here to Austin?
What are you reading? People are leaving the Bay area but more are moving in. Austin is also growing, I am not familiar with Nashville or Denver area. From a job seekers perspective though, Austin cannot compete with the number of jobs in the Bay Area. Just as an example go on Angellist and filter for companies in the Bay area and then compare it to the Austin area. Not even close.
Denver and Boulder are the new hotspots
Good, you guys leave and we will ship more people from Andhra to Bay Area.
Lol
I know a few who moved back. Weather sucks and can’t deal with huge mosquitoes.
Depends. Do you want to raise a family in a house and live close to work? Then don’t move here. I love the weather and don’t plan on having kids. Love the Bay Area.
