Hello Guys, I am on H1B Visa working in Texas and Priority date March 2016. Is it worth staying in Usa or better move to Canada. #h1b 105K Texas
No second thought. just go ahead as long as you have a job
Why say so
Do you like the cold and not being able to spend time outdoors during winter months? If the answer is yes then you should, you will be happier in Canada than in the US.
The winter months can be brutal in some part of canada. For me, I prefer the chill of canada than the brutal heat of texas in summer. In winter, you can just a few layer, and enjoy hiking, skating, skiing. In a brutal summer, you stay indoors.
Lots of factors you haven’t mentioned for such an extreme move but to list a few: - Does weather matter a lot to you? Canada has the infrastructure to deal with snow but it’s still cold. - do you have or are you able to get work authorization easily? Immigration to Canada is still quite competitive - What density of urban development do you need to feel comfortable? The general consensus is that some areas such as Waterloo are decent balances of salary and cost of living, but Toronto salaries are struggling to keep up with rising rent recently. Not to mention any cultural factors beyond the urban thing, what sorts of jobs you’re looking for, or any consideration of broader life goals.
Express Entry gets Greencard Weather doesn’t matter most of the time I lived on the north eastern side of USA I m comfortable being on the country side rather than Urban area
Moving to Canada is a decent option then it seems assuming you line up a good job
Move before your kids go to school.
