I am currently on h1-b and have a few FANG interviews lined up. Should I interview now or should I push them to early next year ( Jan - Feb ) as we all know that premium processing won’t start until feb . If h1-b transfer takes 4-5 months I am better off holding back and taking time to prepare is what I feel . What do you guys think ?
What's the logic behind this suspension around Sept and waiving it off again around Feb?
Goggle’s offer is valid for one year so if you’re ready do it now and hold off to accepting an offer once you get it. However, if you need more time then this is a good excuse
How do you go about doing this? Do you just ask your recruiter to hold off for a couple of months?
One year?! Holy Moly. I didn't know that. I'd love to take that offer, go on world tour and come back knowing I have a job waiting. What about Amazon?
There is no guarantee that the suspension won't be extended again in February. They can make this as difficult or easy as they like.
Interview when you're comfortable, sit at your current place until H1B is transferred. Trying to time Trump is harder than trying to time bay area real estate.
Same. Holding back till Feb. And hoping to get a new employer to file premium h1b before April 1. Cuz like every year it will be suspended again
H1-b transfers don’t get suspended on April 1 . That is only new h1-b I believe .
Yes, AFAIK, premium processing suspension is for new petitions, and not for transfers.
