i am thinking about getting it. anyone have their experience to share?
I didn’t find it to be helpful. People can still anonymously view your profile, which I thought was strange since I was a paying customer.
yeah I found this weird too. I googled it up and it seems like if someone chooses to stay private, then LinkedIn can't disrespect that preference.
It’s really expensive for what you get but there is a free trial, which might be enough (I don’t remember exactly how long it lasts). I don’t know how useful it is for added viability from recruiters but it does lift your limits on messaging and I trust the salary information a lot more than stuff here and and levels.fyi. It’s especially good in that it shows the bands for most jobs rather than the single (often ceiling figure) folks who brag on here pull in or the weird dumb stuff on levels.fyi where a single person has clearly submitted the same thing multiple times and/or enters their RSU info incorrectly so it screws up the total.
I find it useful to get companies stats and the like. If you purchase annual subscription is just $12 a month, well worth it IMO
I paid for it, just in case. I didn't find it useful in terms of the tools I used, but I got hit up by an average of 1-2 recruiters per day. I don't know if that was because of premium or not.
Recruiters think a non-sales non-marketing non-VP person with premium account as actively looking for a job. They would use their limited inmail on a person having premium account than who doesnt. So you will be reached by many recruiters.
I found it very useful and has worked out for me recently :)
Yes
I just did the one month trial for free and got a lot of inbound messages from recruiters. Just do the trial and see if you like it lol what’s to lose
For all those who received messages from recruiters, what companies were they from? I received mails from staffing agencies only.
I received from Splunk, LinkedIn, Amazon and Tableau apart from a lot of msgs from staffing agencies too. LinkedIn does have the staffing agencies spamming problem which they should really fix! It’s super annoying. Having said that, the premium sub. itself is useful for folks that are serious about job change.
Got it. Thanks!

It’s useful. You will get hit with more DMs directly from companies including FAANG. It’s also a floodgate of external recruiters.
How?
Cause it shows greater interest to find another job
