Is raspberry pi or Arduino set a good gift for a legit SWE?
Hi I'm looking for presents for my SWE boyfriend. Anyway. As mentioned in the topic, Is raspberry pi or Arduino set a good gift?? I'm also not sure if he already has one would it be good to have multiple (in case of pi) ? I'm thinking to get him both pi4b+ and an Arduino kit that comes with stuffs. What do you guys think? Or in general what do you think is a good gift for SWE aside from leetcode. Want to give him something practical here. Thank you!
That looks awesome. Did you buy all that piece meal or are there any kits that you would recommend? I want to get into electronics only as a hobby though
This is my first such project. I took this hobby to learn electronics. A lot of my days go on googling what these chips do and if they are not available anywhere then finding substitutes. This is a cpu in the making. You can buy kits but those would be almost double the price of ording things online
I tend to use raspberry pi for a few random projects around the house. Anything from my arcade emulator to some home automation. They are pretty fun to play with and develop for. Even if I got one at random for the holidays I would probably find a use for it.

Get a Bosch XDX instead (cross domain development kit)
Get a dji tello drone. You can program JavaScript on it which is pretty cool
