Is there any body works in Google Nest ?
Hi Guys. I need some help . Not much information for Google Nest. Before the on-site interview, the recruiter wants me to let him know the salary I want. I have no idea on Bay area. I'm a industrial digital designer ,Hardware designer, with 13 year experience. I checked in Levels.fyi. I could be L5 in Google ? So, Can I say I want TC $350k~$380K in Google Nest ??? That's big money.

What is industrial digital designer? Do you design hardware? Or is it more of software ux design role?
I'm a hardware designer. I'm making surface for the product with creative designer and Product design engineer. Thank you .
Maybe you can target same as l5 product designer? On levels.fyi average is 315k. But I would tell them to give you range they allocated for that role first.
I work in the Nest org but as a SWE. Pay is the same as other orgs in Google. If you are being targeted for L5 then I don't see any reason why you shouldn't get L5 pay. In fact, most new hires have higher comp because of good starting packages. Push to get as much as you can. Note: this generally applies to G. I don't know anything specific for "industrial digital designer."
