Is this the normal weather in Seattle?
when i wanted to choose office, i chose Seattle due to lower cost of living. i was told that although it rains a lot, but it is not heavy rain and i can easily walk without even brining umbrella.. Well, turns out this isnt true! it’s been rainig hard for a while excpet for a few days which sun came out but it got very cold!! So, is this how Seattle weather actually looks like or it is an exception? I am feeling a little depressed!
This year has been atypical with the heavy rains. The frequency isn’t atypical though.
Yeah, I mean, I can live and do outdoor stuff when I don’t need to bring umbrella but with this weather can’t do much of outdoor activities

You didn't bother to check the historical data on number of gray days? There's a reason tens of millions of people happily pay the "sunshine" tax :). On a positive note the two months of seattle summer is incredible!
Lol, I did, and actually asked a couple of Seattle friends too.. but you wouldn’t know until you get here. As you can see in the comments, Seattle folks feel this is not too bad :) Not having sun doesn’t bother me much, but having constant rain is somehow different!
Everyone is different I suppose. The rain I didn't mind but the daily gray ate my soul.
Just go to REI and get a goretex jacket and stop the fucking whining! 🤣🤣🤣
And play soccer outdoor with it? Or maybe have outdoor bbq? Lol
For the BBQ you just need a pop up to keep the rain off the coals. Same for when it snows. Just in the opening of the garage also works. For soccer... Just get the lightweight jacket.
Wait for the summer, Seattleites know how to celebrate summer! You can see them wearing sunglasses indoors starting early April 😎
Just learn to ignore the rain. Don't let it affect your plans. And if you make it through a season without committing suicide... Then you are golden!
But it hasn't been raining hard for the most part, just all day.
