Accurate. Amazon lounge full of experiences like this for past year+

Microsoft Wintel2 Jun 26, 2018

Wow, can’t wait to see it!

Starbucks GotEm🤙🏽 Jun 26, 2018

Sure would be nice if they bothered to write about “Jane”’s experience afterwards instead of leaving us hanging in suspense smh

Snapchat Evan’s Dad Jun 26, 2018

Not bad.

Wtf everything on blind has to go back to “Indians”? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Amazon eskB11 Jun 26, 2018

Because people love Indian people like me

Amazon nbJR76 Jun 26, 2018

This is a terrible article that doesn't actually provide any kind of background or inclusion of what happened after she was put on a Pivot. What is this trying to highlight?

Amazon hLED85 Jun 26, 2018

it just describes the process in general. they use Jane impersonally. There may be no Jane to begin with.

I have heard no but it was on here so may not be true.

Amazon hLED85 Jun 26, 2018

it’s a very good representation of the process.

Apple Ua$(ja OP Jun 26, 2018

Has anyone ever taken the severance packagr they offered?

Amazon hLED85 Jun 26, 2018

Very often

Apple H8>%*1 Jun 27, 2018

Whats the average offer? Is it higher than your current salary or lower?

Amazon Pop🍿 Jun 26, 2018

Option 4: Keep your principles and values intact and resign. Know that you are competent enough to get a job at other companies especially after staying at Amazon for a few years. Know that you are strong. Don’t let anyone step on you or tell you that you are shit, especially a manager whom you just met three months ago and have no idea of what challenges you were able to overcome and results that you’ve delivered in the past. Know that you are valued somewhere else and your soul is worth more than the RSUs they are dangling in front of you. Hold your held up high and move on.

Snapchat Evan’s Dad Jun 26, 2018

Why’d you resign without taking the severance? That would actually be a win for the company

Amazon Pop🍿 Jun 26, 2018

I will never go through the pain of letting few managers step on me. Severance will require documentation and useless back and forth with your manager and hr. I’d like to be productive, code and ship products. Thanks but no thanks to extreme, horrible, dirty politics that I’ve witnessed in my last team.

Apple Ua$(ja OP Jun 26, 2018

How good or bad are these severance packages? Is it more than salary?

Amazon dXTB65 Jun 27, 2018

No its about 3 months worth. Not worth it for people approaching their vesting dates.
