For him it was all about profit. He thought everything can be made cheaply by outsourcing and putting MBAs in charge of engineering. He took the power away from engineers and moved to Chicago from Seattle https://finance.yahoo.com/news/boeing-ceo-dennis-muilenburg-is-out-140919300.html
I wonder if the 737max is *ever* going to fly again. It has some structural issues with those engines and if software can't actually fix it...
It's a steaming pile of shit, nobody from Boeing or FAA or airlines is gonna touch it
LoL... Indian consulting companies took Boeing ceo down..
Huh?
I have kept on 737 Max catastrophe. Why only fire the CEO? He alone cannot be responsible
He isn’t. People don’t have the mental capacity to understand how huge of a company Boeing is and how many tiers of engineering are involved in decisions, designing, signoffs, testing, and approval. People want heads to roll, and the firing of BCA CEO or retirement of 737 Chief Engineer meant nothing to the public. Now we’re in a much worse position - an accountant nobody ever heard of is in charge. We had hope after Jim McNerney left, that an engineer would set things right. We were well on the way until the crashes, which were caused by flaws inherited by and unbeknownst to Dennis.
Thank you for your input. Interesting. I am a fan of Boeing despite some of its cultural norms so its sad to see the company suffer so much.
I’m so happy for this. Boeing was never the same after McDouglas merged with them. The incompetent management of McDouglas hijacked Boeing and made it a shadow of what it was - a company that prioritizes share holders rather than engineering.
