It’s Time to Move to Amazon, but How?
I want to work for Amazon as a TPM, and I’d like to transition ASAP. I am a 61 PM in MS, few years out of college. My problem: I’ve applied to many positions in Amazon without a phone screen coming my way. I’ve also reached out directly to many recruiters via LinkedIn, who don’t answer at all. I am honestly a driven and kickass dude, who just wants to own something, drive the hell out of it, and knock my job out of the park. I know I belong at Amazon, and I’m very confident I’ll get through a loop...I just need that foot in the door! Would love to have a hand in the AWS or Alexa cookie jar. It’s starting to seem like the only path to a simple phone screen is a referral. Is...this the case?
What quals do you have for Amazon? Which team of Amazon? Why don't you have an Amazon buddy to refer you? There are half a million ppl working at Amazon.
I stated that I’d love to be able to contribute to either AWS or Alexa. Past that, not quite sure what specific teams are within them. I do not have any friends that work at Amazon. I am not from here, nor am I from anywhere close to here. I don’t go out much. I do network, but Amazonians somehow haven’t crossed paths with me.
