I was hoping to come to Blind and find the inside scoop on any info, or at least opinions, from inside GitHub. The other thread has a lot of discussion among people at other companies instead, so I wanted to create a new thread.
Ideally, top-level replies should only be from people with GitHub next to their name.

I witnessed the interaction with the female Data Science employee on Slack. It was very rough, public and slightly unhinged. Coralline liked to “lash-out” at people and never tried to view these as “teaching” moments. She never held herself to any standards that she wanted to be treated by. I have zero tolerance for hateful behavior— regardless of the person it’s directed at.
For the record (and purposely left out of blog to mislead you), her manager was a transgender woman and her skip level was a WoC. This department is extremely diverse by tech standards. Also, she was a Nicole Sanchez recruit and heavily protected by her. Net- it took an act of Congress to term her and many people tried to help Coralline be successful before separation.
TL;DR- Coralline was terminated for her lack of performance & horrible approach with co-workers. The blog post is sour grapes from someone unwilling to take personal accountability.
