An L5 here at Goog. 400k+ TC given stock growth, 13 years work ex. Was pinged for manager position at Splunk. How's the culture? Can they match my comp? What is the opinion of current employees? As anywhere I'd guess it depends on the team/org, but still any overall input would help. Thanks.

    For what it’s worth I went from Splunk to Goog. No looking back! Splunk was great under previous leadership. It was the place to be for many years. Most tenured folks are leaving. Culture is not what it used to be. Technology is still better than alternatives but I don’t see that being the case longer term.

    Great place to work and grow. Some really difficult nerdy problems to solve. If you are ambitious and nice, you will have a good time for the most part. Things are a bit chaotic but I think developing and shipping a very complex onprem enterprise software is not easy. So it comes with the territory. I say take a leap of faith and join Splunk.
