  • I hated SF because of all the tech money, living in a 3k+ apartment while downstairs there’s homeless people in a box just felt wrong.
    Not that that doesn’t happen in nyc, just had a feeling of a bit more of something for everyone.

    I’ve visited SF many times and lived in NYC for several years. I’d go back to NYC in a heartbeat

      I loved the city. It’s very diverse with a variety of microcosms. I love the fact that everything is close together and the public transport is widely available, very much so in Manhattan and less so the further you get away from it. The city is beautiful in the summers. It gets super cold, though, in the winters which really sucks.

    NYC is preferable but you have to be prepared to step outside your bubble a bit if you’re trying to maximize what you get out of it.
