Updated Base: $205k
Updated TC/yr: $317k
Said they got all senior leadership involved and Finance and HR wouldn’t budge. I think we all know the answer now if it’s worth leaving…
But they did “promise” me rapid promotion to make up for it within 6months…
___________
I just got an offer from Meta for a TPM role (ICT5+) - since they couldn’t get leadership on board for ICT6 which they told me is likely to happen after my panel…
Base: $214k
Rsu: $450k
TC/yr: $326k

Ask yourself, will you get someone hired new promoted to a sr level within a year when it almost takes a new hire approx 5 6 months to get used to the culture and in house tech/tools/terminologies. How can you expect Meta to promote you within the first year ? I mean on what basis will they promote you to the next level? Will you have enough data points to justify that promotion in a year or sooner.
Thats the biggest scam recruiters have for people to join the companies.
PS: I got promoted to L6 at Amazon in 18 months and my manager told me that this is the fastest they have seen anyone promoting to a sr L6 at Amazon. But in my case, my entire team was L6 and above and all our work was L6 scope or above. It was easier for me to promote to next level because I started working on projects of L6 scope.
Promotion process itself at amazon is almost a quarter long of work/doc writing/approval etc. M sure it will be on a similar timeline at Met too. I had taken a parental leave during this time so my promotion delayed by a quarter
