Folks at Amazon deal with bad WLB, low base pay and stock acting like Cisco. While, Google employees have chilled out timelines, no meeting weeks, Sundar bonus, Sundar day off and what not.

because Google only has fat margin businesses. Amazon has almost 0 margin in their ecommerce but a fat margin in AWS

Amazon is a shit hole of a company with extremely low hiring bar and tiny profit margins. Its stock was overvalued but now corrected itself.

  Here's the difference for the last 5 years. My raises, bonuses, and refreshers aren't tied to stock growth. There's no TCT at Google. I'm L5, and get around $150k refresh each year, no matter how the stock performs. This year, my TC is over $500k
